Vineshadow Wristlets knitting pattern

Description

These fine, nearly-weightless wristlets in two sizes (S/L) feature a frill of pretty leaf motifs that are highlighted all around in yarnovers, to add a bit of feminine interest at the edge of a sleeve, while shutting out chilly winds. These cuffs make excellent use of yarn left over from larger lace projects and a great matching accessory for the Longshadows scarf or stole.

Suggested Yarns: 

Cormo Lace, Yak + Silk Lace, Modern Deco Lace, Shetlandia Fingering, Jacob Fingering, Kent Lace, Fresh Lace, or any springy, laceweight yarn with 300-400 yards per 2 ounces. Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size.
Finished Size: 

(5) inches in circumference at cuff (unstretched) to fit wrists up to 6(8) inches around; 

6.5(7) inches total length from hem to top of cuff

125(150) yards

Gauge: 

26 sts and 36 rows = 4 inches in stockinette on larger needles (unblocked) 

Needles: 
size 3US (3.25mm) DPNs for ruffle (or size to obtain correct gauge)
size 2US (2.75mm) DPNs for cuff (or two ‘mm’ sizes smaller than ruffle needle)
