Finished Size:
hat or headband: 14(16, 18, 19.5, 21, 23) inches brim circumference (blocked; unstretched) to fit heads measuring up to 17(19, 21, 22.5, 24, 26) inches around
Yarn requirements:
hat: 90(100, 145, 160, 175, 225) yardsheadband: 40(50, 60, 75, 110, 125) yards
Gauge:
16 sts and 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette on larger needle (unblocked)
Needles:
size 8US (5.0 mm) 16-inch circular and DPNs for body (or size to obtain correct gauge)size 6US (4.0 mm) 16-inch circular for brim (or two sizes smaller than body needle)
Note smallest size hats will require the use of DPNs throughout construction
