Description
This headband is double-knit for warmth and closes in the back with a button. The I-cord embellishment is simple to make and is attached with a yarn needle. A schematic for laying out the I-cord is provided in the pattern. Double-knitting creates a self-lining without sewing.
This headband can be made in any single-color heavy worsted or bulky-weight yarn. One skein of yarn is more than sufficient.
Materials needed are:
- US Size 8 (Metric Size 5) needles
- Two Size 8 (Metric Size 5) double-pointed needles
- A yarn needle
- Sewing needle and thread in a contrasting color
- One 1-inch (~2.5 cm) diameter button
