Description
This pretty mid-tone violet shade shares its name with a British violet-flavored confectionery which is named after a variety of the flower. Impressionist painters loved violet so much that art critics lambasted its overuse. Conjecture circulated that their overfondness for the color was caused by madness or from spending too much time in the open air.
