Experiment with color in this Dot Code quilt pattern, designed by Scott Hansen, which has both pieced and appliquéd block options. Precut friendly – the smaller sizes will work with 5″ charms and 10″ squares. Dot Code was designed to encourage color play and exploring the working powers of Value. The simple “half circle” block allows the interaction of light, medium, and dark values to shine. The block is designed as a 6″ or 12″ pieced block, or as and 8″ appliqué block. Whether you make all of your blocks the same or you make them differently, an array of layout possibilities abounds.
