*This class fulfills the Knitting Elective Requirement for WEKP.
Briocheknitting is known for its plush texture and bold colorwork, but it doesn’t haveto be mysterious. In this three-session class, we’ll ease into brioche knittingusing two colors, a method that makes the structure easier to see, understand,and fix.
Youwill learn the fundamentals of brioche knitting, including setup rows; briocheknit and brioche purl stitches; how to read brioche fabric; and how torecognize and correct common mistakes. Through guided practice and initialswatches, we’ll build skills gradually, allowing the technique time to settlebetween sessions. You’ll then confidently cast on one of three patterns, chosenbased on your comfort level and preferences.
Thisclass is ideal for adventurous beginners and intermediate knitters who arecomfortable with knit and purl stitches and want a clear, supportiveintroduction or refresher to two-color brioche.
