Description

This top-down sock in four sizes (S/M/L/XL) features the deep ribbing and horizontal knit/purl motifs of a classic gansey sweater. A simple rib extends down the leg and over the top of the foot to complete the design. Simple-to-work motifs make it a good traveler that is readily converted to toe-up construction.

Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size.

Yarn Specs:

• 55/35/10 Merino/Alpaca/Nylon
• Approx 225/450 yards depending on the size selected
• 2 oz/57 gr, 4 oz/115 gr ±
• 6 to 8 sts per inch
• Needles size US 1 – 6 (2.25 to 4.0 mm)
• Made in the USA

This is an artisan product, so slight texture various may occur between color ways. 

About the pattern

Finished Size:

6(7.5, 8.5, 9) inches in circumference, to fit feet measuring up to 7(8.5, 9.5, 10) inches around

Note: sock is slightly wider at the top to provide some calf shaping and narrows to final size once the gusset shaping for foot is complete.

Yarn requirements:
325(375, 425, 475) yards

Gauge:
36 sts and 50 rows = 4” in stockinette

Needles:
DPNs size 1US (2.25 mm), or size to obtain correct gauge
