Trigo’s unusual construction is sure to delight both knitter and wearer, and its generous size is perfect for warding off chill and snow. The pattern begins by working a diamond shape, and stitches for triangles are picked up from the sides of the diamond. A second diamond is created by picking up stitches from the triangles, and this repeats until you have 7 center diamonds with 6 triangles on either side. The garter stitch pattern works up quickly, and picked up stitches and simple decreases make Trigo an excellent project for a beginning knitter looking to expand their skills. Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend is a luxurious combination of Merino wool and silk hand-dyed with subtle variations in color. Once you wrap this scarf around your neck, you won’t want to take it off!
