Description
The Mountains of Japan are breathtaking in person. I come from an area in the USA with lots of mountains. I have seen so many mountains of the world but I was not prepared for my first views of the mountains in Japan. I always wondered why Japanese nature art was so different from Western art. Then I saw Japan and understood. The mountains look painted in the distance. Hanging in the clouds, shades of grey and blue and black in the distance. Hints of the shapes, not the all the lines filled in. Amazing. This hat is my knit interpretation. There is an alternate set of charts for flat-topped mountains, so choose the graph that looks like the mountains in your mind…. This is, in a short time, the most popular pattern I have ever published!
