Night Study

Description

Vincent van Gogh’s famous night study, which we know as The Starry Night, was his attempt to capture the mystery of the night sky on canvas. This Night Study, an asymmetrical triangle shawl, is my own attempt.

The beautiful, variegated texture of the garter stripes creates an impressionist painting with a touch of sparkle, because the yarn from Forbidden Fiber Co is made with stellina.

An airy wisp of lace in a soft yarn from Shibui softens the effect.
