Poncho with oversized collar

Description

This little poncho will be perfect addition for any baby’s / child’s wardrobe. For a baby size instead of buttons you can simply lace it with some beautiful ribbon. The poncho is made as one piece, without seams. 

Pattern includes step by step instructions and many helpful photos.

Skill level: easy/intermediate

Sizes and finished measurements:

• Baby (up to 12 months) – 24” chest
• 2-3 years – 32” chest
• 3-5 years – 34” chest
• 6-8 years – 36” chest

It is pretty easy to make it bigger as well. All you need to do is to continue increase the yoke, using instructions for toddler/child sizes, until it is big enough.

Materials:

• any worsted weight yarn approx.100, 150,150, 200g or 300, 450, 450, 600 yards. A suggested yarn is shown below
• crochet hook 4mm or size needed to obtain gauge
• 2-3 buttons
• tapestry needle

• st(s) – stitch(es)
• ch – chain stitch
• sc – single crochet
• hdc – half double crochet
• dc – double crochet
• sl st – slip stitch
