This beautiful lap quilt features 8″ square Sawtooth Stars set on point. There are 32 blocks in the lap quilt and 13 blocks in the wall quilt. This quilt is designed for a scrappy palette, allowing you to put together many fabrics. 

Organize your fabrics into color groups, then in each color group go from light to dark. Contrast is necessary to make this quilt work.

Materials Needed for the lap quilt (wall quilt requirements in parentheses): 

3  3/4  yards total of lights, mediums, and darks 
     or 15 fat quarters for the stars in the large quilt
     (for the wall quilt: 2 yards or 8 fat quarters)

7/8  yard for setting triangles (1/2 yard)

1/3  yard for first border (1/4 yard)

7/8  yard for second border (5/8 yard)

1/2 yard for binding (3/8 yard)

3 1/2  yards for backing (1 3/4 yards)
