These simple shaped teddy bears are outlined with buttonhole stitching. The bear is 7 1/2″ tall, but you could easily enlarge the pattern to make a mom, dad, and cubs; or tuck them into the branches of a Christmas tree or wreath.
Materials Needed:
The supplies listed will make TWO teddy bears.
Bear fabric: 1/4 yard
Eyes: 4 – 1/8″ black beads* (optional) or black floss
Nose: 24″ black floss
Stuffing: Approx. 6 oz (though we’re pretty sure our 4 oz bags will have enough)
Ribbon: 2/3 yard of 1/2″ wide ribbon for bow
Embroidery floss for outer edges: 1 skein
*Not for children. Small bead size and loosely attached arms could be choking hazards.
