NEEDLES
Circular needles, at least 40 in (100 cm) in length, in two sizes:
❖ US 6 / 4 mm or size needed to obtain gauge
❖ US 4 / 3.5 mm or two sizes smaller than main needles
A set of double-pointed needles or longer circular needles in the same size as the
main needles can be used for the crown shaping.
GAUGE
❖ 21 sts and 28 rnds = 4 in (10 cm) in stranded colourwork in the round using main needles
