In the Smocked Cable Hat and Mitts from Valley Yarns, surprisingly easy smocked cables cut a diagonal path across this warm and shimmering hat and mitt set. Valley Yarns Colrain is a soft and drapey Merino and Tencel® blend yarn perfect for wearing next to the skin.

Hat – 18 (20, 22)” circumference
Mitts – 8 (9, 10)” circumference
Yarn Requirements: Valley Yarns Colrain (50% Merino Wool/ 50% Tencel; 50g/109yds) shown in Natural
Hat – 2 balls for all sizes
Mitts – 1 (1, 2) balls
OR 2 (3, 3) balls for the whole set
Needles: US 6 (4.00mm) 16” circular and DPNs
Gauge: 20 sts = 4” in k2, p2 ribbing, after blocking
