*This class fulfills the Knitting Elective Requirement for WEKP.
Togetherwe’ll do a deep dive into cables – understanding how they work, how to makethem both with and without a cable needle, how to read and knit from cablecharts, and even how to fix mistakes when they happen. When we’re done youwon’t be intimidated by even the most complicated cables, and will becomfortable tackling any cable project you encounter! And I’m betting by theend, if not sooner, you’ll throw those cable needles away.
You will receive the Zoom link1-2 business days before the virtual class.
Format: Virtual
Prerequisite: Knitting II, or equivalent.
Materials Required:
400- 450 yards of a light colored worsted weight yarn.
Size7 needles (or size needed to get a gauge of 5 stitches per inch)
2cable needles – we will be working on not needing these, so if you don’t ownany please don’t buy them, but rather use 2 short double pointed needles, orstitch holders
